Amidala Cafe

Has anyone of you seen those milkshakes topped with ridiculous amount of just any kind of sweets at instagram, pinterest or even in facebook? As someone who's deeply, madly in love with sweets I've always been telling my boyfriend that we should make those crazy milkshakes when we get to see each other again since there's no cafes or restos here in Cebu who are serving those kind of milkshakes- or so I thought. Lucky me, I found Amidala Cafe as I was scrolling down my Facebook newsfeed. So I guess I'm not the only one who's mad about those milkshakes. So since then, I've been thinking about who I should bring with me as I devour this wonderful invention cause well ya know boyfriend is miles away (sorry boo! couldn't wait for you). So when my friend told me that we should go to church together with her boyfriend ( thirdwheel alert), I suggested to go to Amidala after church and I'm glad they agreed. Well they should, jks!
Amidala Cafe is a Star Wars themed cafe. Star Wars fans would definitely like this place. Staffs were friendly. I think the only problem with the place is that it's too small. So if the cafe is full you have no choice but to wait till a table is vacant.
I chose Wookies Milkshake. It is a Cookies and Cream blended drink filled with oreos, nutella and chocolate chip cookies. For 190php. Perfect for my week long cheat days. Real Satisfaction!

Force Choke Milkshake. Chocolate blended drink with pretzels and kitkat. Also for 190php. Don't mention how much calories there are in that jar. I don't want to know.

If you're not a fan of milkshakes, they also serve hot drinks and chillers. They are located at Maria Cristina Arcade Building behind Vacation Hotel right before Sacred Heart School Hijas. They are open every Monday to Friday 1pm until 12 midnight and Saturday and Sunday 5pm until 12 midnight. May the sweets be with you!

Till my next post, Dae.

The Hermit's Cove: A Hidden Arcadia

I've been craving for the beach for a very long time. I just couldn't go to any because I have a lot of school stuff to finish. But I knew I had to de-stress myself so I told my friend to come with me. I've heard that The Hermit's Cove at Aloguinsan is a good one so we chose to go there. To say that I was so excited for this mini summer getaway would be an understatement. I'm not a morning person, but I got up really early for this. The Hermit's Cove is just about 2-3 hours away from Cebu City. Just perfect for someone who needs to a little summer getaway yet needs to go back in the city on the same day
Stop by at The Farm House first to pay the entrance fee which is 100php per head which already includes the use of cottage.

So guys, this is the road to forever. Kidding! This is the long and rocky road to the cove. The habal-habal driver was kind enough to stop once in a while so we could take pictures. He told us that when he was still a kid he used to swim from the Bojo River to The Hermit's Cove with his friends.
A rush of excitement zinged through my veins as the driver said that we've finally arrived. They let us sit in a small hut first before we entered to check our receipts and gave us a little orientation. The woman from there told us a brief history about the place and the rules.
I couldn't stop squeaking as I saw the view. Just look at the aquamarine sea guys!
88 steps stairs. I knew I'll be having a little workout going home.

The long and tiring travel was all worth it. Simply beautiful. It was everything I needed. Unfortunately, they close at 5pm. Bad news for those who likes to stay overnight.
They also sell coconut for 25php! So refreshing!

Feet in the air like we just don't care (Instagram: @daestein)
Hermit's Cove definitely is a beauty and I'll make sure to come back again soon. With Bojo River next time!

EXPENSES

Jeepney Toledo-Aloguinsan- 35php

About

Hey There!
My name is Dannah Dae. I love flowers and butterflies and all the enchanting things (including unicorns and mermaids). I love pastel colors and I'm starting to like gray toned colors. A lot of people says I'm very girly. Well, that may be true.

I'm currently studying Fashion Design and Apparel Tech at Fashion Institute of Design and Arts- Cebu and will be graduating in a few months (YAYYY!!). So obviously, this blog will contain posts about fashion and beauty which I'm so in love with. Plus, food, art and travel posts because I believe we shouldn't limit ourselves with what we can do or love.

I'm honestly very excited to share my thoughts and ideas to everyone who will be reading my blog. Hope you will all enjoy!

Love, Dae.
